A great opportunity exists for a vibrant, positive, and progressive strategic leader to drive the IWS and Worklocker Merchandising and Marketing strategy.
As the Head of Merchandising and Marketing, you are a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. You will collaborate with others in the organisation to drive sales, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment between Merchandising and Marketing initiatives as they relate to our business goals.
At Worklocker, The Head of Merchandising and Marketing is responsible for identifying and sourcing the right products for our retail environment. Working with our Foundational suppliers, the HOMM will use quantitative data to support building a core range for Worklocker stores. Maintaining a positive working relationship with all vendors, negotiating products and trading terms, and evaluating new vendors are critical to the role.
Fundamental to the roles is a strong understanding of the features and benefits of workwear and work boots and deciding whether the product is a hot seller for the target demographic. They will also continually analyse key performance indicators to determine which products generate the most revenue and sell less than projected.
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve as the mentor and coach for team members.
- Support strategies and processes to drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
- Using data, analyse daily/weekly sales reports and propose product movement and rotation between onsite and online channels.
- Recruit, select and develop new hires.
- Manage a team of category managers.
- Readily adjust schedule, tasks, and priorities when necessary to meet business needs.
- Recommend, plan and implement employee training and skill development activities.
- Utilize site merchandising analytics and sales data to optimise the core range's merchandise performance.
- Work closely with our Supplier partners to develop an optimised core range and extended range merchandising plan.
- Work closely with our retail store network to optimise the range to maximise sales volume and gross profit.
- Develop category planograms for existing and new store development.
- Regularly review and adjust the core range to maximise retail sales and margins.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the senior leadership on IT investments and opportunities.
- Identify new and exclusive products that will benefit our retail network.
- Strategically develop a road map of exclusive products that complement our local brand strategy.
- End-to-end management of exclusive product development, including identification, specification, sourcing, QC, price modelling, sales and Marketing with our retail network.
- Optimize store margin within the network through trading terms and buying strategies.
- Develop and execute a national and local marketing plan for our store network that elevates our brand and drives customer acquisition.
- Work with our suppliers to optimise promotional opportunities
- Grow online sales through successful digital marketing.
