A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.What you'll be doingYou will be responsible for setting up Flight Operations for optimal performance and then monitoring and assuring the standards of Flight Operations for Virgin Australia. This role is a key part of the Flight Operations Leadership team by assisting the Chief Pilot in maintaining safety and regulatory performance in operations.The role manages policy and procedures, operations assurance, quality systems and the development of best practice tools for use by our teams and flight crew in operations. It provides Line Operations and Training the operational procedures, systems and processes that our Flight Crew operate within as well as monitoring the standards of our flight operations working with Group Safety. This role will also work across the Group to continuously improve our overall operations including planning across the operation. With safety as our first priority, this includes working with Finance and Strategy to ensure that financial and strategic considerations are considered in developing the flight operations business into the future.You'll be great for this role if you...

• Have extensive experience in Flight Operations Policy and Standards management including all aspects of operational safety
• Are a transformational leader with success in driving organisational change and a demonstrated ability to lead, engage and develop Flight Crew teams.
• Held strategic leadership roles in Flight Operations with extensive operational knowledge
• A communicator, with excellent stakeholder, negotiation, and conflict management skills
• Highly analytical with strong commercial and financial acumen
• Ability to hold alternate Head of Flying Operations (Chief Pilot) approval
