About the role
Reporting to the Director of Precinct Operations and Logistics, in this key leadership role you will have overarching responsibility for the precinct and venue operations of the Australian Open. You will be entrusted with the successful planning, management, and execution of all precinct and venue operations. You will serve as the primary liaison between Tennis Australia (TA) and Melbourne and Olympic Park (M&OP), driving engagement and relationship management from an operational perspective. Additionally, you will shape the operational direction, implementation of ongoing improvements, and monitoring key performance indicators associated with the precinct and venue operational delivery.

About you
Highly collaborative, naturally organised, and unflappable under pressure you come with significant experience leading successful teams across large-scale events and projects, with a track record of achieving objectives and delivering results. To be successful you will:
- Possesses a strong operational mindset, with a focus on results and delivery, underpinned by exceptional attention to detail.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and time-pressured environment while maintaining composure and effectiveness.
- Proven expertise in advanced project management techniques, combined with superior time management and organisational skills to effectively coordinate and execute complex projects.
- Well-developed strategic thinking, analytical, and financial skills, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning to drive organisational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Possesses strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach and lead by example, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box and remain calm under pressure.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
