We are looking for an energetic and positive team player to lead our Civic Centre Operations team on a permanent full-time basis.
You'll lead and work with a small, dedicated team to ensure the effective and efficient running of our Civic Centre function spaces, managing room bookings, and supporting various internal and external events and meetings. Your expertise in event support, team leadership, and facility management will help us deliver exceptional service to our Council, staff, and the public. This is a full-time permanent role based at our Civic Centre in Wantirna South. This is a Band 6 classified role, remuneration will be $92,933.03 - $101,496.84 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
What you will need to thrive
The key selection criteria for this role are:
- Demonstrated experience in supporting functions and events in a multifunction environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating and operating a team in a high demand service environment.
- Experience in setting up audio/visual, computer or sound system equipment.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets in line with financial delegations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and suppliers.
- Ability to physically and safely set up rooms including moving tables and chairs, carrying out cleaning duties etc.
