  • Newly created global leadership role in a successful international insurer
  • Thought leadership role for Security across our global business
  • What if we could all have a positive impact — at work and in the world?
Your new roleThe Global Head of Security Trust & Influence is a newly created role leading security risk, trust, and influence within Enterprise Security Services at QBE by directing, controlling and being accountable for the delivery of an optimum operating model for the function.

Make a real impact with this role within the Enterprise Security Services Leadership Team; aligning risk identification, translation, articulation, and treatment to optimally support Enterprise Security Services and QBE business strategies and priorities.

Reporting to QBE’s Global Chief Security Officer, this role leads the continuing evolution of Security Risk reporting; demystifying complex technical risks and issues into plain-English, posture-based measures enabling QBE leaders to understand and be accountable in service of better managing risk. In this role you will lead a small internal team as well as managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships including regulators.

Working collaboratively with other senior leaders in QBE’s global security function, this newly created role will help revolutionise the role of Enterprise Security Services in Integrated Assurance, working with all three lines of defence (at Group and Division) to ensure a shared, holistic and consumable approach to security risk across QBE.

About You

The Global Head of Security Trust & Influence is an opportunity for an experienced cyber security professional to leverage your operational knowledge to provide thought leadership to our Security function globally. You will have worked in large and matrixed organisations previously, and understand how to navigate a diverse global stakeholder landscape.

A key part of this role is creating a plan for how to take metrics and insights across Security and turn them into an understandable risk conversation. Hence, the role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills in order to ‘story tell’ about Security and the challenges in this space.

Further ideal skills & experience:

  • Demonstrated experience of operating as a CISO or cyber security functional leader previously and can bring operational knowledge to support formation of strategy and advice.
  • Possesses knowledge of industry best practice in enterprise security key controls, cyber operational Governance, Risk and Control measures.
  • Experience working within large and matrixed organisations.
  • Passion for leadership and building team capability.
  • Exposure to the regulatory requirements within the finance/insurance industry.
  • IT vendor, supplier and contract management.
