In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving an industry leading sustainability agenda and ensuring alignment with local government net zero strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to help businesses achieve sustainability goals.
- Lead the establishment and adherence to ISO standards, such as ISO14064, PAS 2060, PAS 2050, CCER and other relevant schemes.
- Represent your team in local sustainability campaigns, liaising with government bureaus and promoting sustainable practices.
- Drive sales and business development efforts, working closely with the sales team to secure new clients.
- Work as part of a broader team of professionals across finance, compliance, risk management, operations, digital trust, and audit.
- Ensure compliance with business emission targets and support clients in achieving their sustainability objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, continuously enhancing the company’s core service offerings.
- Demonstrated experience in sustainability consulting, preferably within a Big 4 or ESG consulting firm.
- Experience from the greenhouse gas and/or construction sector strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Experience in sales and business development, with a focus on sustainability-related services.
- Familiarity in sustainability-related standards such as ISO 14064, PAS 2060, PAS 2050 and CCER
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of the Australian market and government policies related to sustainability.
