We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability professional for a global, non-for-profit organisation where Sustainability is a key strategic pillar. You will promote a suite of products across certifications, verification and training, helping businesses measure, monitor, and improve their impact on the environment and society.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving an industry leading sustainability agenda and ensuring alignment with local government net zero strategies.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to help businesses achieve sustainability goals.
• Lead the establishment and adherence to ISO standards, such as ISO14064, PAS 2060, PAS 2050, CCER and other relevant schemes.
• Represent your team in local sustainability campaigns, liaising with government bureaus and promoting sustainable practices.
• Drive sales and business development efforts, working closely with the sales team to secure new clients.
• Work as part of a broader team of professionals across finance, compliance, risk management, operations, digital trust, and audit.
• Ensure compliance with business emission targets and support clients in achieving their sustainability objectives.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations, continuously enhancing the company’s core service offerings.

Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in sustainability consulting, preferably within a Big 4 or ESG consulting firm.
• Experience from the greenhouse gas and/or construction sector strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and delegate responsibilities effectively.
• Experience in sales and business development, with a focus on sustainability-related services.
• Familiarity in sustainability-related standards such as ISO 14064, PAS 2060, PAS 2050 and CCER
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of the Australian market and government policies related to sustainability.
