About the Role
This role aims to support businesses on their sustainability journey while promoting best practices across Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategy, implementing global sustainability contribution using data and insights to successfully align Government led Net Zero Strategies and introduce new services for the local markets. You will work colleagues to promote existing certification and verification services to support organisations to measure, monitor and improve their impact on the environment and society.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to develop the organisations sustainability services and client portfolio.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market presence and revenue growth aligned to company objectives.
- Work with the sales and marketing team to create compelling proposals to attract new clients
- Develop, consolidate, and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients to drive customer satisfaction
- Articulate complex scenarios in a clear and concise manner, adapting presentations and content to various audiences ie, clients, industry professionals and stakeholders
- Create and contribute to technical documents for internal and external use
- Engaging with key stakeholders, NGOs, industry associations, Government agencies etc.
- Represent the organisation in sustainability related forums, conferences and events
- Build and maintain solid relationships with the internal team to ensure the effective implementation of Sustainability initiatives.
- Demonstrate expertise in ESG standards, and keep updated on emerging sustainability trends and regulations
- Evaluate current organisations skillset and identifying development areas
- Lead the development and enhancement of certification methodologies and verification procedures in accordance with industry best practice
- Experience implementing business development strategies to drive revenue (Consultancy Experience in beneficial)
- Strong expertise in sustainability related standards such as ISO 14064, PAS 2060, CCER etc
- Relevant qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration etc
- Results orientated, with a passion for sustainability
- Willing to travel for work
- Strong team work capabilities
