Job description

About Us
At Charles Sturt University we believe that wisdom transforms communities. With tenacity, we help to shape resilient, sustainable regions for the future. Acknowledging the culture and insight of First Nations Australians, our ethos is clearly described by the Wiradjuri phrase, yindyamarra winhanganha, meaning the wisdom of respectfully knowing how to live well in a world worth living in.
Our mission is to build skills and knowledge in our regions with global impact. We offer choice and flexibility to students and work together with our industries and communities in teaching, research, and engagement. Growing from our historical roots, we share our knowledge and expertise as a significant regional export industry, and we bring strength and learning from this back to our regions. Through our values, we create a welcoming community experience and learning environment that supports innovative research and advances society.
The Role
We are now seeking a transformational leader to join us as the next Head of our School of Business. You will be committed to pursuing work that makes the world a better place, driven by your belief in the Universitys sense of ethics and its mission to create a brighter future for all. You recognise that research should focus on impact as well as innovation, creating positive social outcomes in addition to technological advancements. You are also keenly aware of, and responsive to, the changing education landscape, the need for innovation in teaching and the optimisation of the student experience in an increasingly diverse and challenging environment. You are committed to transparency and consistency in your decision-making and can communicate your ideas and vision clearly and effectively. As our new Head, you will further advance the schools excellence, delivering high quality learning and teaching, impactful research, and meaningful community engagement. As the next Head, School of Business, you will inspire those around you and will work collaboratively with staff to bring about meaningful change on an individual, institutional, and international level.
