Opportunity:
The Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre (ALAC) Team is looking for a driven, qualified and customer focused individual to take up the role of Health and Fitness Supervisor.
Reporting to the Commercial Services Coordinator, this role will see you responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the City of Albany’s group fitness programs including managing contracts, participants and programs. You will also be responsible for generating memberships and informing the public of services offered by the Albany Leisure & Aquatic Centre.
About You:
To be suitable for the role you will need;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience with a high commitment to customer service.
- Ability to organise work, manage time, and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Experience in managing finances, including the preparation of budgets, grants and acquisitions.
- Ability to work in a team and help foster team goals.
- Highly developed and proven interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with particular abilities in delivering group fitness programs.
- A comprehensive knowledge of developing and delivering fitness programs and Fitness equipment that members will find at the Centre as well as marketing and membership services.
Experience and Qualifications;
- Experience in sales and retention in Health and Fitness related memberships.
- Certificate IV in Fitness.
- Experience leading and supervising a team.
- Current Senior First Aid certificate.
- Working with Children check.
- National Police Clearance.
- Degree qualification in sport, recreation, health or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience (desirable).
- Previous experience working in a Council operated recreational facility (desirable).
