We are looking for a dynamic Health andPhysical Education Teacher / Netball Coordinator to join our welcoming and vibrant community. Placing students at the heart of everything we do, the successful candidate will be committed to ‘Cura Personalis’: care for the whole person in support of educational best practice.
The Netball Coordinator contributes to the mission of the College and its educational goals by providing leadership of the Primary and Secondary co-curricular John XXIII Netball Club. Working closely with the Head of Sport, the Netball Coordinator oversees the coordination of coaches, managers, umpires, and players, upholding the College's strong reputation within the Perth Netball Association. The position entails approximately 0.4FTE teaching role.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Active support of the Catholic ethos of the College.
- A strong desire to be involved in the education of the whole child: socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with young people.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in netball operations including coaching, umpiring and club management or sports administration.
- High degree of enthusiasm, motivation and initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, promoting positive personal relationships with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills as a qualified teacher.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in rich learning experiences that facilitate understanding, discovery, reflection and application.
- Effectively provide direction, supervision and care for students.
- A proven understanding of recent teaching methodology including differentiation of the curriculum.
- An ability to work weekends during netball pre-season and season.
