What you'll be doing:
A fantastic opportunity has now become available for a Health and Security Assistant in a Permanent Full time role, located in our scenic Blue Mountains.
This imperative role for Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital, will see you maintaining a high standard of security and documentation of events and assist with the management of aggressive and/or difficult patients and visitors, respond to alarm signals to ensure a safe and secure work environment for staff, patients and visitors.
You role will see you undertake cleaning duties to a professional standard and per the local cleaning schedule as well as perform cleaning duties as rostered in accordance with Ministry of Health Standards and procedures, including terminal cleans, high cleaning, outside cleaning and removal of soiled linen to ensure infection control and quality standards are met.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Current Security Licence (Class 1A)
- Recent experience working in a Hospital Security or Health and Security Assistants role
- Ability and willingness to work shift work, unsupervised and part of a team
- Demonstrated sound, written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality principles
- Demonstrated understanding of Work Health & Safety requirements
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
