We are seeking motivated individuals to join our dedicated team at Grampians Health as Health Care Workers. These permanent positions are available for an immediate start and include working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The successful applicant will support the independence and self-esteem of residents in our Care Communities with a person centred approach. This position will undertake a range of duties to assist in achieving the nutritional, physical and hygiene needs of residents.
Skills and experience
- Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent preferred but not essential.
- Successful attainment of HLTFSE001– Follow Basic Food Safety Practices.
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in a care giving role in a residential aged care service.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide direct consumer care that meets the individual needs of the resident and relatives.
- Demonstrate an ability to participate in the development and review of Resident Care Plans.
- Computer skills: intermediate computer skills with demonstrated ability to use computer software particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Have the physical ability to bend, twist, crouch, squat, kneel, stand, walk, reach above shoulder height, lift, push/pull.
- Rotating across a 24/7 roster (AM, PM &night shifts)
- Successful attainment of HLTHPS006 – Assist clients with medication (Desirable)
