About the role:
Join our dynamic team at The Maitland Hospital as a Health Information Manager, where you'll oversee and lead Health Information services for the Lower Hunter Sector of the Hunter New England Local Health District. This pivotal role involves offering strategic guidance, managing day-to-day operations of Medical Records Departments across various sites, and engaging in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery outcomes.
Our successful candidate will be responsibilities will also include staying abreast of activity-based funding (ABF) principles and associated data collection rules, supporting Clinical Coders through coaching and mentoring, and spearheading the development and implementation of clinical forms and information systems. Collaboration with senior leadership, clinical and non-clinical staff, and consumers is integral to success in this role. We provide comprehensive orientation and ongoing support to ensure your success in this dynamic position.

Requirements and additional information:
- Degree in Health Information Management (or working toward) or extensive experience in working in a senior position within a Health Information (Medical Record) Service.
