Role description

Working as part of the Community and Allied Health Team the Health Promotion Officer undertakes activities including networking, engaging and supporting a variety of different community stakeholders on a number of public health issues, to build resilience and capacity within the community.

The Health Promotion officer will also work with the other funded community Health Promotion Partners on the priority areas of Healthy Eating, Active Living, Tobacco-related Harm and Mental health and Wellbeing.

About you

• Degree or diploma in a relevant field, or demonstrated industry experience in a relevant discipline such as Health, Social Welfare or Nursing with experience in developing, implementing and exeluating projects in community development or health promortion.
• Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with community members and groups to deliver improved community outcomes.
• Experience and demonstrated ability in the design, implementation and evaluation of community-based project work.
