What you'll be doing:
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering Healthy Ageing programs in consultation with the Senior Health Promotion Officer and Health Promotion Manager. The position will work closely with NSW Ministry of Health, local councils, relevant stakeholders, Aboriginal organisations, and local communities to plan and deliver programs across the Nepean Blue Mountains LHD catchment area. You will be tasked with developing programs and capacity to address health inequalities in designated areas, particularly in the Indigenous and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse populations. Additionally, you will be using a community development approach plan, coordinate and deliver Healthy Ageing programs in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. Interested? Apply today!

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
Selection criteria to be addressed: * Relevant tertiary qualifications in health-related field (Health Promotion, population health, education, allied health or other relevant field)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing group programs or delivering education programs
- Understanding of and experiences, working with older people, and of the issues that impact on service delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and CALD communities
- Demonstrated capacity to establish and maintain partnerships with community, government and business organisations and agencies
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, implementation, evaluation and dissemination of best practice interventions. and reporting
- Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team, effective organisational skills, problem solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent computer skills, negotiation skills and competent written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to conduct public presentations and facilitate groups)
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
