They are looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Manager to join their team and drive their safety culture. As the HSE Manager, you will oversee and embed their Safety Management System to promote a healthy and safe environment for employees, contractors and visitors across all operations.
Required experience and training includes:
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic direction and continuous improvement to workplace health, Safety and Environment practices.
- Develop and implement WHS policies, procedures and guidelines aligned with legislation.
- Evaluate and enhance process safety culture to improve performance.
- Identify, monitor and mitigate significant WHS risks and hazards.
- Manage the Emergency Management Plan including HAZMAT.
- Oversee workers' compensation, injury management and return to work processes.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with OSH Act, regulations, codes of practice and customer requirements.
- Provide safety guidance, education and training to management and staff.
- Oversee and manage training and onboarding for the Company.
- Build effective relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders
Required experience and training includes:
- Tertiary degree qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equilvalent Diploma (WHS) and relevant work experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices.
- Proven ability to influence and drive cultural change.
- Previous experience working in a multi-discipline/multi-function environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- People leadership experience managing teams.
- The ability to travel as required.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
