- Conduct an evaluation of the organization's HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) systems to identify any gaps or areas for improvement in relation to relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and OFSC (Occupational Health and Safety System) criteria specific to the organization's industry and location. Provide insights and recommendations based on the findings.
- Collaborate with the Systems Team to assess HSEQ procedures and confirm alignment with jurisdictional requirements and ISO standards. Ensure that processes and documentation are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant.
- Support the Systems Team in driving HSEQ system improvement initiatives and executing related projects, while staying informed of current best practices, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
- Lead internal audits of the organization's HSEQ management systems, focusing on areas identified in the gap analysis. Use the results to improve system effectiveness, address any gaps or non-conformances, and promote continuous improvement.
- Assist in managing the process of closing out any non-conformances or issues discovered during internal audits. Work with relevant teams and individuals to develop and implement corrective action plans and verify their effectiveness.
- Proven experience in conducting audits for ISO Systems, with demonstrated expertise in ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management). Experience with the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety legislation across multiple jurisdictions, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess, review, and improve the organization's accredited systems. Proven ability to conduct research, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve team objectives. Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete project tasks within defined timeframes.
- Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including the creation and review of health and safety, environmental, and quality learning resources for integration into the organization's LMS.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly desirable, as well as certification as an ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
