About Shafston:

Shafston International College (Shafston) was founded in 1996 and has continued to make a unique and substantial contribution as a vibrant international education provider as well as one of Australia’s leading providers of Vocational Education and Training. Our campuses are located in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane and on the Gold Coast with a large variety programs to offer in Certificate III, IV, Diploma and English language programs.Our trainingis delivered to students on-site, online or on-campus to give people the skills they need to contribute to the society and their communities, support industries and strengthen local economies.

Shafston is a well-established RTO and currently looking for a trainer able to train and assess a range of health qualifications to our students. This position will start as a casual part-time position with potential to progress to full time in the future.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Applicants must possess CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support and/or CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and/or CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services; or equivalent
• Applicants must possess the current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Current industry skills and evidence of undertaking professional development that are directly relevant to Health industry
• Current knowledge and experience in vocational training and assessing in Health industry
• Experience in designing and delivering training programs

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

Areas of Responsibilities:

• Deliver and/or assess units of competency within CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support and/or CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and/or CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services or its successor
• Contribute to validation and moderation of learning and assessment
• Be familiar with and contribute to the review of the Training and Assessment Strategies for the programs/qualifications delivered
• Collaborate with other trainers and subject matter experts to develop and deliver training programs
• Create and maintain training materials when required
