Health Trainer and Assessor

Our campuses are located in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane and on the Gold Coast with a large variety programs to offer in Certificate III, IV, Diploma and English language programs.Our trainingis delivered to students on-site, online or on-campus to give people the skills they need to contribute to the society and their communities, support industries and strengthen local economies.
Shafston is a well-established RTO and currently looking for a trainer able to train and assess a range of health qualifications to our students. This position will start as a casual part-time position with potential to progress to full time in the future.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Applicants must possess CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support and/or CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and/or CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services; or equivalent
- Applicants must possess the current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current industry skills and evidence of undertaking professional development that are directly relevant to Health industry
- Current knowledge and experience in vocational training and assessing in Health industry
- Experience in designing and delivering training programs

Areas of Responsibilities:
- Deliver and/or assess units of competency within CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support and/or CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and/or CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services or its successor
- Contribute to validation and moderation of learning and assessment
- Be familiar with and contribute to the review of the Training and Assessment Strategies for the programs/qualifications delivered
- Collaborate with other trainers and subject matter experts to develop and deliver training programs
- Create and maintain training materials when required
