The Health and Wellbeing team at Urban Utilities are the trusted advisors and subject matter experts in health and wellbeing, providing governance, systems and support which enable and empower our people. We are currently on a mission to make Urban Utilities the leader in safety amongst our fellow industry peers and embarked on a transformational journey to build our new team and establish a new partnering model.
Reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Manager, this role provides advice and support to managers, leaders, staff and stakeholders on best practice injury management, fitness for work, health and wellbeing. The Health & Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for the implementation and delivery of support services including work and non-work related case management and management of Workers’ Compensation claims, in line with Health and Wellbeing strategies, systems, and processes.

ABOUT YOU
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have a genuine drive, motivation and passion for Health & Wellbeing.
- The ability to build relationships working with supervisors and front-line workers to influence and coach optimum and sustained health and wellbeing outcomes,
- Experience in an applied Occupational Health role within high-risk industries
- Demonstrated experience with return to work case management, injury / illness management education and Workers’ Compensation claims with proactive communication with key stakeholders and timely documentation and data management
- Proven experience with and ability to interpret and apply policy and procedures in injury / illness management and workers’ compensation and provide sound advice to operational areas
- University (First degree) in Health Science or Occupational Health Discipline
- Rehabilitation & Return to Work certification
- Current Driver’s Licence
