About the role
The role of the Senior Advisor (Wellbeing) will support the Principal Advisor (Ergonomics) in delivering, creating, and promoting wellbeing initiatives that meet the needs of all workers across West Moreton Health (WMH). The role will be involved with wellbeing programs across the health service to reduce the risk factors for chronic disease, such as smoking, poor nutrition, low levels of physical activity, unsafe alcohol consumption, obesity, stress, and sun exposure.
In partnership with the Principal Advisor (Ergonomics) and the Staff Wellbeing Psychologist, this role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the staff health and wellbeing plan and other health and wellbeing initiatives.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience in the delivery of staff wellbeing programs, including developing and reviewing procedures, systems, processes, and effective management and monitoring of staff wellbeing within a large diverse organisation.
- Experience in interpreting and applying legislation, standards, and policies relevant to staff wellbeing into practical and pragmatic programs and services to achieve business and client-focused solutions
- Proven capacity to assist in the implementation of staff wellbeing initiatives including coaching and developing the capability of staff, managers, and supervisors by fostering a performance-based and client-focused work culture.
- Organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results within a client-focused approach.
- Interpersonal, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, evidenced by the ability to engage, consult, and collaborate, facilitate work groups, work in a multidisciplinary environment, and maintain effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in problem-solving and identification of risks and causative factors leading to flexible, responsive, client-focused solutions related to staff wellbeing issues.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Formal qualifications in health, injury management, work health and safety, or possession of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly desirable.
