HEAVY COMBINATION (HC) DRIVERS FOR DEVONPORT & LEGANA

Tasmania is an island state, and as such its economic prosperity has depended on the provision of efficient transport services both intrastate and to mainland Australia. Chas Kelly Transport (CKT) has been at the forefront of providing all these logistics services within Tasmania.  

We need DRIVERS FOR a 7-day week operational roster with core hours 5am to 6.30pm. This position can lead to more permanent work for right applicants. At Chas Kelly Transport we are keen to increase our casual driver numbers to meet the ever growing current and future demands. Our state-wide services include, temperature-controlled cartage, local deliveries, freight forwarding, woodchip cartage, specialised freight, and bulk cartage. Forklift or Truck HIAB skills highly regarded.

• Paid above award rates and penalties fortnightly.
• Looking for secure ongoing employment 
• You must have a current HC minimum drivers’ licence! 
• Two (2) work locations available, East Devonport & Launceston.
• General freight cartage refrigerated trailers, containers and skel tippers across Tasmania.
• We need drivers who are available to work any or all days across our 7-day operations.
• Able to work across multiple delivery work areas.
• Able to follow policy and procedural work as directed.
• Modern Volvo Automatic/Manuel prime movers 
• Someone that can adapt to the pressure of seasonal demands. 
• A person who communicates well 
• Committed to maintaining a safe working environment. 
• You always keep a high standard of vehicle presentation.
• Takes pride in own appearance and workwear presentation. 
• Drives professionally and takes responsibility behind the wheel. 
• Available to work Saturday and Sunday rostering as required.
• Forklift & Truck mounted crane (HIAB) licence /skills and advantage
• Probationary period 6 months
• Uniforms supplied 

A Truck Safe Medical and or including Drug & Alcohol screening prior to commencement and randomly during employment is a requirement for this position. (casual or permanent )
