An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Midwife to join the team at Nepean Hospital working in the Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS). This is a Temporary Part time position 3 days per week.
In this position, you will facilitate the care pathways for women suffering with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) of any gestation, providing compassionate care, assessment, support, referrals, collaborative multidisciplinary care plans including intravenous hydration as required throughout the pregnancy and meeting the emotional needs of the woman/ partner/ family.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with demonstrated evidence of extensive recent Midwifery experience.
- A strong commitment to achieving safe clinical outcomes for women and their families experiencing early pregnancy complications including early loss and hyperemesis gravidarum.
- Demonstrates strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work both independently, within scope of practice and collaboratively following consultation and referral guidelines.
- Competency in IV cannulation and venepuncture or willingness to undertake training.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills both verbal and written with women and the wider multidisciplinary team, demonstrating computer literacy with EMR and other relevant software systems, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Demonstrates understanding in supporting the emotional needs of women and consideration of relevant referrals for EPAS and Hyperemesis.
