Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Central Systems (Centrals), a wholly owned subsidiary of publicly listed Resource Development Group Limited (RDG), is a leading Western Australian based multi-disciplined contractor providing a complete suite of construction services to the industrial and resource sectors comprising Civil, SMP and NPI disciplines. Central Systems have delivered an impressive track record of projects across Australia on some of the most recognised major resource construction projects.

Centrals have an immediate requirement for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join the team in our Bibra Lake Workshop. This position is full time, working 5 days per week, 8-9 hours per day with occasional trips to our various sites to assist with Peak loading.

Duties will include: 

• Scheduled repairs & maintenance to a fleet of Heavy Mining Earth-moving equipment
• Diagnostics, problem solving & fault finding
• Identify, interpret & repair for reuse any parts & accessories
• Able to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes in a busy, fully equipped workshop
• Able to work in a multi-cultural work environment
• Manage and Maintain service records for all Centrals plant an equipment 
• Perform risk assessments on new and existing plant and equipment

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you will require the following:

• Trade Qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter and 5 years' experience
• Knowledge of a Mechanical workshop operations and associated equipment
• Knowledge of standards and regulations associated with the mechanical workshop pant and fleet
• Knowledge of the latest technology relating to the mechanical workshop plant and fleet
• Ability to apply establishes safe work practices and procedures
