Caboolture Bus Lines is an accredited TransLink service provider that has been operating in the Caboolture and Bribie Island regions for over 35 years.
We believe in responsive and innovative management to provide our passengers with safe, reliable, and quality transportation.
Our Heavy Diesel Mechanics maintain and operate a fleet of 70 low-floor buses and coaches.
The Job
- Fleet maintenance servicing.
- Completing preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
- Identifying, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle defects.
- Test driving of vehicles to diagnose malfunctions.
- Support the learning and development of our apprentice Diesel Mechanics.
- Permanent full-time, part-time, and casual positions are available.
- Our workshop operates Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work required.
- Hours can be flexible starting from 4am to 9am and finishing between 2pm and 5pm.
- Rotating roster with opportunities for overtime and occasional callouts for bus breakdowns as required.
Light vehicle mechanics looking to upskill are encouraged to apply. Further, Caboolture Bus Lines is willing to support the sponsorship of qualified and experienced VISA holders.
Our ideal candidates will have:
- Excellent knowledge of engines, transmissions, and computer diagnostic experience.
- A high attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a busy and changing environment.
- Experience servicing buses and heavy vehicles is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and strong safety focus.
- Electrical experience (highly regarded).
- Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- A Queensland Driver’s license.
- A current MR license (desirable).
- A Heavy diesel mechanic certificate.
