The Opportunity
Due to the continued growth of the company, we have a great opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Heavy Road Transport Mechanic preferably with Euro (Volvo) Truck experience to join the team in our Workshop located at the Gap Ridge in Karratha.
Our busy Workshop has very experienced trades people that you would be working alongside, a great team culture and an all-round great place to work.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager this role involves the service, repair and maintenance of all fleet vehicles and equipment. You will be working on a large fleet of late model Volvo Road Trains with an opportunity to gain experience working on our road and civil earthmoving equipment.
This is a Full Time Permanent role offered residential to Karratha or FIFO from capital cities within Australia.
Role Requirements
- Qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong diagnostic ability.
- Service and repair heavy automotive and mobile plant.
- Component re-builds and previous experience working on European trucks and mobile plant preferred.
- Be prepared to work overtime and on roster for call outs.
- HR license, Forklift license or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously or part of a team.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a Workshop Environment.
- Be highly organised and skilled in time management.
- Ability to work autonomously in an unsupervised environment.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities in tight timeframes.
- Strong focus on attention to detail.
