Partnering with Rio Tinto, Piacentini & Son are currently undertaking the land re-profiling and revegetation works to close this iconic mine and restore the land for its Traditional Owners.
Argyle produced its last diamonds in 2020, since then Piacentini have made significant progress into the rehabilitation process with areas profiled, seeded and vegetation growth exceeding expectations. There is still more to achieve for 2024 & 2025. We need a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to support the delivery of this once in a lifetime project.

Piacentini & Son is an earthmoving and mining contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, supply of mobile mining and earthmoving equipment, road haulage and heavy transportation, and rehabilitation services.
We operate a diversified fleet of over 500 pieces of Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu and custom designed and built machinery.

To succeed with Piacentini, you will need :
- Australian recognised Trade Qualification
- Demonstrated experience in more than one of the following - CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu equipment
- Trade experience in a mining or civil engineering environment on large scale equipment
- A positive approach to safety and those around you
- Pride in your quality of work
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
- National Police clearance

- Dozers D6 to D11
- CAT Articulated Dump Trucks 740 & 745
- CAT 777 F Dump Trucks
- CAT Loaders
- CAT Graders
