We are seeking a full-time experienced and dedicatedAccounts Receivable Officer to join our College, starting as soon as possible. This is a temporary 12-month contract.
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, your primary responsibility is to collect fees and liaise with fee paying families. You will be an integral part of the College’s Administration team. You will be a highly organised, efficient and a compassionate Accounts Receivable Officer.
Your responsibilities as an Accounts Receivable Officer will include:
• Maintain and manage the day-to-day collection of College fee incomes.
• Preparing and issuing annual / periodic fee statements and providing debtor controls.
• Administration of periodic payment authorities and various ad hoc payment arrangements.
• Attending to health care card, sibling and other discounts and maintain accurate records and source documents.
• Liaising with families facing financial hardship and setting up appropriate repayment schedules.
• Referral of accounts and liaising with Debt Collection Agency.
• Preparing monthly reporting for the Director of Finance and Corporate Services.
• Assist with other administration duties as and when required including reception.
Selection Criteria
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all communications.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent ability to manage competing priorities effectively whilst meeting set time frames.
• Excellent working knowledge of AOS software.
• Excellent ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Well developed software skills. Ability to quickly learn specific College software systems.
• Experience and or qualifications in Finance and or the Education industry.
• Willingness to uphold College values of Compassion, Courage and Respect.
Qualifications Required
• Experience and/or qualifications in finance / education industry.
• Appropriate computer and related software applications utilized by the College.
