The Job
Proquip is one of the best when it comes to Machinery hire and delivering the right product on time, every time to our customers in pristine condition and ready to work. The Team in Kewdale is looking for an organised, meticulous and results driven person to work in the Hire Yard preparing machinery in and out of the hire process and performing general yard duties.
You will be inspecting, photographing and allocating the detailing of machinery through our electronic records system, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate and ensuring that equipment leaving the yard meets Proquips' high standards ready for the next customer. . This role is critical to making sure that the work flows smoothly and efficiently through the detailing bays and is ready for the next on hire or allocated to the workshop mechanics. You will also be happy to roll up your sleeves to clean and detail machinery, load and unload machinery and and perform other yard duties.
In a working day you will;
1. Take ownership of the assigned on- hire requests. Prepare machinery according to the customer requirements and/or statutory obligations including attachment selection and pre-hire checks (photos, fittings, safety equipment and logs)
2. Take ownership of the assigned off-hire requests. Review and inspect machinery to ensure the equipment has been returned in its original condition and without damage
3. As required, assist our customers with loading and unloading of customer vehicles and transport companies using the required equipment and following the standard QHSE protocols.
4. Washing and detailing of machines/attachments to company standards.
5. Work collaboratively with the Hire/Sales/Workshop teams
6. Assist in day-to-day yard maintenance that will include the safe storage of company tools and equipment, rubbish removal and any other tasks that help to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
7. Operating and moving machines safely around the yard.
You will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, the ability to think on your feet and solve problems and exceptional attention to detail and keep accurate records.
You will have:
- Experience with heavy equipment (operator background ideal)
- A forklift license (or be willing to obtain)
- A full drivers license and clean driving record
- Willingness to undertake criminal history check
