Herb Quality Assurance (QA) Office Assistant

Job Summary: The Herb QA Office Assistant will support the Quality Assurance department in ensuring that all herb products meet established quality standards. The Assistant will perform administrative tasks and assist with Quality Assurance procedures to help ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the QA department, including data entry, invoicing, tag printing, filing, organising documents, ordering stock, and answering phone calls and emails.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of QA records and reports, including documentation of testing procedures and results.
• Support the implementation of the company's quality management system, ensuring that all records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
• Help prepare for audits and inspections, including compiling necessary documents and records.
• Assist with the review of production records and batch records to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform routine inspections of herb products to ensure that they meet established quality standards, including visual inspections and tests.
• Work closely with production and other departments to ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, including harvest equipment and supplies.
• Participate in company training programs related to Quality Assurance and other areas as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Experience working in a Quality Assurance or administrative role preferred.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
