This State Government Agency based in the Greater Sydney area, is focused on providing sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective services to the Sydney region. Completing work on pivotal projects within wider NSW, they are looking to bring on an experienced Heritage Development Specialist to assist with increased workload.
Your new role
As a Heritage Development Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the projects team with heritage statements approval flow, providing expert advice and development of necessary documentation to support business units to work across a range of built heritage asset projects.
A big part of this role will be representing the organisation in negotiations with stakeholders, as well as providing technical assistance/advice with various stakeholders, developers, and the wider labour community. This role is initially offered on a contract basis so could suit a consultant or someone looking for a change.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have extensive on the job knowledge of heritage related planning matters. Experience can come from a Local, State or Private background as long as you have worked closely alongside government authorities with several years of relevant experience.
