About the Role: As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to lead lives of their choosing. In this role, you will work both independently and as part of a team, delivering a range of services aimed at helping participants live independently, actively participate in their local community, and engage in meaningful opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support participants in living an active lifestyle and participating in their community through person-centered support and programs.
- Implement positive behaviour strategies according to behaviour support plans.
- Assist and support participants with personal hygiene and care.
- Maintain open communication with management and families about the participant's progress.
- Undertake household tasks such as menu planning, cooking, and cleaning.
- Maintain progress notes and records.
