With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!The Role:An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Health Information Manager to join the HIS Program at Northern Health.Reporting to the Associate Director HIS - Director Activity Based Funding (ABF) & Reporting, you will lead both the Datasets Reporting Unit and the iPM Support Team by demonstrating outstanding business development and analysis skills.Forming part of the Senior HIS Management team you will:
- Manage Statutory Extracts and mandatory reporting across Northern Health, ensuring compliance and accuracy;
- Oversee the administration of Northern Health's Patient Administration System, i.PM, from both Northern Health and Department of Health perspectives;
- Coordinate and submit Northern Health Clinical Indicators and the balanced scorecard;
- Provide expert advice on NWAU funding and care models, guiding our team towards optimal resource allocation and care delivery to Northern Health Executive and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse and interpret data to inform funding allocation decisions and care model enhancements.
- Bachelor of Health Information Management qualification
- Experience in a senior Health Information Management role within a medium to large complex health service.
- Extensive statutory extracts and mandatory reporting experience within a medium to large complex health service.
- Staff management experience within a medium to large complex health service.
- A proven ability to develop and meet operational budgetary objectives using excellent written and verbal communication, consultation and influencing skills and sound judgement.
- Comprehensive understanding of best practice information management processes.
- Ability to interpret data and develop detailed business cases in support of strategic initiatives.
- Literacy in IT systems that support information management and reporting in a large complex organisation.
