HOME CARE SUPPORT WORKER

The team at Australian Family Support is currently seeking a casual HOME CARE SUPPORT WORKER to support our valued NDIS participants.

Hours of work: Casual and will vary as per participant requirements.

Location: Will vary as per participant/business locations and requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Provide HOME CARE SUPPORT/domestic assistance to participants with support needs including cleaning, cooking, and meal preparation.
• Personal care including getting them up, showering and dressing
• Driving participants to medical appointments or taking them shopping for groceries/essentials.
• Assist participants in successfully coordinating their support needs and in achieving outcomes of their NDIS plan.
• Qualified SUPPORT WORKERs will be providing complex care and medication management where applicable.

Position Requirements:

• Home Care Certificate and / or relevant work experience.
• Current Australian Driver’s License (Optional).
• Own a registered and fully insured vehicle that meets NDIS requirements (Optional).
• Meet Covid – 19 Vaccine requirements – Medical exemption acceptable or willingness to obtain.
• Relevant DHS/ NDIS checks and clearances in accordance with role requirements.
• A valid National Police Check/Certificate
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Previous SUPPORT WORKER experience is desirable.
