This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 3, 2024 with possible extension and/or permanency
Manjimup Primary School (PS) is seeking an enthusiastic and team-orientated Manager Corporate Services (MCS) to work collaboratively with the School Leadership Team, staff and school community.
The MCS operates within the Executive Leadership Team and will manage the day-to-day financial, physical and human resource aspects of the school’s operations.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of quality business operations and ideally have excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a sound understanding of all matters related to finance, recruitment and enrolment procedures. They will be integral in providing input into financial planning and budgeting and in administering and reporting on the financial integrity of the school’s business operations. A sound knowledge and competency in physical resource management is also valued.
They play a key role in the recruitment and management of school support staff, embedding effective and efficient office procedures, and have a visible presence within the team.
An ability to manage, support and problem-solve issues relating to the school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources and infrastructure, in collaboration with technical officers, is desirable.
The successful applicant will ideally have high level of interpersonal finesse which ensures a positive environment. They should be able to work effectively with diverse groups of staff, students, parents, carers and the wider community. They will ideally possess sound analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, working collaboratively with the leadership of the school to provide exceptional customer service.

Manjimup Primary is one of two public schools located in the town of Manjimup. With a school history of 100 years its ties with the community are strong with generations of families having attended the school.
The new school facilities greatly enhance the school’s ability to deliver teaching & learning reflective of modern teaching practices. Important within these are the use of information, communication technologies.
The stability of student and staff numbers contributes to the successful implementation of long-term strategies. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Well developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- Sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- Sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
