About the Role
You will provide a variety of professional experienced handyperson services at a trade qualified level including repairs, maintenance and renovations as required by clients in both the residential and commercial fields.
As the Team Lead, you will ensure timely arrival on site, ensure all equipment is brought for the job and that all materials are delivered to complete the job. You will liaise with the client regarding site access and work requirements and maintain close contact with the service delivery team to ensure smooth completion of the job, on time and within budget.
Client satisfaction is critical to the success of this role and your communication skills will be excellent – clear and supportive, you will manage the interface between the client and the team on site.
You will need to be able to problem-solve and find excellent solutions as the need arises on site and to communicate what needs to be done to the rest of the team.
The ability to assist with scheduling and materials order as required is an integral part of the role as well as the ability to flex to weather and material delivery needs.

You will be a self-motivated and dedicated handyperson able to motivate your team. You will have a strong commitment to getting the job done to a high standard. With good time management and organisational skills, you will meet on site with clients in a professional and timely manner.
You will ensure everyone on site is smart and presentable on arrival, focus on excellent communications with the client, maintain a clean and tidy work area, and have the ability problem-solve when a job requires this. Conducting toolbox meetings you will communicate effectively the tasks to complete the job.
You will manage OHS standards and possess the ability to use hardware tools and power equipment appropriately as well as mentor junior trades in their use and feedback on their execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a trade role
- Trade skills including tiling, fencing, roofing, carpentry and plastering – the last two are of particular interest
- Knowledge of Home Maintenance project planning and execution
- Site supervision experience
- Knowledge of purchasing processes
- Police Check
- Construction White Card
- Working with Children check preferred
- Current full Victorian Driving License
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental obligations and use of personal protection equipment
Ideally you will have a Cert. 4 in Building and Constuction!
