About the Role
Our client provides state of the art solutions to set up farms of the future, with the latest in technology, machinery, and expertise. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to work with a renowned hoof expert as part of a fantastic team!
This job includes an internship in learning a rare skill of becoming a bovine Hoof Care Technician. The majority of a day’s work would be to trim feet and to prevent and treat lame cattle. This is a hard and physical job, but rewarding, as you will witness the contentness of animals after treatment.
This position will suit candidates that have a passion for animal health as well as a willingness and commitment to continually grow their skills and knowledge. Showing initiative, self-motivation, and a desire to set the bar high will see the successful candidate grow within this exciting business.

Duties:
- Diagnosis of animal health symptoms
- Inspect, trim cattle’s hooves to maintain hoof health
- Identify and treat hooves that may have been damaged, injured, or infected (basic therapeutic treatments)
- Communicate effectively with animal care professionals, when required
- Record keeping and data capturing
Skills and Experience:
- Veterinary or animal health experience is a must
- Prior experience working with a variety of cattle breeds is mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for animal care and wellbeing
- An ability to work autonomously without direct supervision when required
