We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team at St George Private Hospital!About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for undertaking all required hospital maintenance duties and ensuring services comply with legislative standards, corporate policy guidelines and approved hospital budgets.This role will also see you direct and manage the work of maintenance contractors, participate in an afterhours on call service and ensure all maintenance duties and responsibilities are kept up to date.Working with a collaborative and supportive team, you will report to and perform duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager. All tools are provided as well as free onsite parking!What You'll BringTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers, staff and stakeholders.Your effective problem solving, organisational and time management skills will be critical for this role.You will also have:
- Relevant experience in facility maintenance service delivery
- Relevant Trades qualification, (Electrical/mechanical preferred)
- A working knowledge of commercial air conditioning systems
- A willingness to work across trades areas within skill levels
- Proven experience in external contractor management
- Understanding of OH&S policies and procedures
- Sound level of computer literacy skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in and ongoing commitment to Quality Improvement principles
- Experience in previous hospital maintenance role
- Current unrestricted driver's license
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
