About the role:
As a Horticulturalist at the City, you would be working at Faulkner Park carrying out maintenance and improvements to our gardens, lawns, and potted plants. This includes assessing and applying the use of fertiliser, mulch, pesticide treatments and the pruning of plants as required.
You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the City’s lakes and water bodies, ensuring that they are clean and the water quality is healthy, by correctly and safely using the provided machinery.
About you:
The successful candidate will have:
- Cert IV in Horticulture along with previous relevant experience in a similar role
- Accredited in basic Road Traffic Management
- Accredited to Operate and maintain chainsaws
- Construction Induction Card
- WA LR or MR driver’s license
- First Aid Certificate or ability to attain
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance is essential (Dated within 12 Months)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical
Ideally, you are able to demonstrate that you can work effectively and efficiently under limited supervision. Some technological know-hows especially in using software to write reports would be beneficial.
