About the Role
Working across our remote farming locations you will receive an authentic grass roots farming experience. We are looking for a Horticulture Graduate to join our Smart Berries Team. A thrilling opportunity for an ambitious passionate graduate looking to join the fresh produce and horticulture industry from the ground up.
As a part of this role you will work alongside experts in our teams to gain experience in:
- Pre- and Post- Harvest Management
- Irrigation and Fertigation
- Logistics
- Agronomy
- Insect/Pest Monitoring
- Production
- Supply Chain Planning
About You
We are looking for someone who is adventurous and willing to roll up their sleeves to learn all aspects of the operation. This role is going to be hands on, busy and dynamic, so you are going to be someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is an ideal position for a recent graduate looking to get a jump start into the produce industry.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Science or Agribusiness (desirable)
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be ambitious and self-motivated
- Have a keen interest in the produce industry
- Have the ability to travel between interstate locations
- Be a go getter who is willing to get their hands dirty and try it all!
