A wonderful opportunity for Hospital Assistants is now available in a Permanent Part time role located within Nepean Hospital.This imperative role within the hospital will see you provide effective cleaning, services to clinical and non clinical areas, including (but not limited to) Wards, Emergency, Theatres, isolated clinical areas, in accordance with infection control policies and procedures in order to provide a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and safety for patients, clients, staff and visitors.This role will see you have attention to detail, which will see you report any safety hazards/incidents and near misses to Supervisor immediately, wear and maintain uniform in accordance with the Uniform Policy and at all times ensure protective clothing is worn and WH&S Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times, e.g. safety signs.This is a great opportunity to join the NBMLHD team, so apply now!An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.About us:Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. • Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of customers by providing good customer service.
• Demonstrated good communication skills in English and the ability to read and understand essential documentation including safe work practices and infection control procedures.
• Demonstrated ability & capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise time sensitive tasks
• Knowledge & compliance with Work Health & Safety Legislation & Guidelines and Willingness to protect the health and safety of self and others at work, under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ability to work any shift within a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
