About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate person to join our hospitality team on a casual basis. The hospitality team work across both the hospital and Aged Care facility providing a number of services to our patients and residents including but not limited too:
- Meal delivery
- Cleaning dishes
- Laundry
- General housekeeping like cleaning floors, carpets, bathrooms etc.
- Ad hoc requests from supervisors
The successful candidate will join an experience, long-serving team that pride themselves on providing the highest quality service to our patients and residents.
NECH has a great work culture and works hard to foster a collaborative working environment enabling us to give staff a good work life balance.
The roster is across all seven days of the week with a variety of morning and afternoon shifts. this role is casual and at times only be one to two days a week with the flexibility to pick up shifts to cover sick and annual leave.
About you
We are looking for applicants who will bring the following to the role:
Essential
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Reliable and flexible
- Knowledge of infection control guidelines
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Outstanding teamwork skills
Desirable
- Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting
The successful applicant will be required to provide copies of the following:
- Current national police check
- Current working with children check
- Up to date vaccinations including COVID-19 and Influenza.
