As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #40489) and Skills Assure provider with the Queensland Government, Axiom College is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Hospitality Trainer /Assessors to meet our increasing client needs. The position is Part - Time with a view to increase to Full time as business grows, working out of our Rockhampton Campus.
Reporting directly to the Training Manager and liaising with the Branch Business Development Manager (BDM), Rockhampton Campus, you will be responsible for the delivery and facilitation of nationally recognised accredited training and assessment activities in the following qualifications:-
- Certificate II in Hospitality (SIT20322, SIT20421 Cookery) and
- Certificate III in Hospitality (SIT30622)
- Hospitality short course such as : RSA, RSG and Food Safety
- Would also be beneficial if the applicant was qualified to train and assessor in another industry area eg. Business. (Desirable, but not required)
Responsibilities of the position would include but not be limited to the following:
- Provide quality training and assessment services with in a classroom and workplace environment
- Mark and review all submitted assessment instruments.
- Manage the physical resources required for the delivery of the programs.
- Complete documentation to support delivery and assessment practices such as the development of resources and assessment documents prior to and at the completion of training.
- Provide ongoing support for learners.
- Participate in moderation and validation activities as required.
The required experience / qualifications as follows:
- Must hold ONE of the following credentials to deliver training and assessment:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; OR
- TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:
- either TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A, and
- either TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B; OR
- A Diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.
- Must have a current Working with Children Blue Card.
- Must hold competency in the qualification/s delivered or be able to demonstrate equivalence of competency.
- Minimum three (3) years recent and relevant experience in the Hospitality industry and skills related to competency based education and training and National Training Packages.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering training programs and courses.
- Well-developed written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of ASQA, AQF standards, legislation, and policies specific to RTO operations desirable.
- Microsoft Office Suite skills.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated, conscientious, self-starter with the ability to develop positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. This role may require some travel across the Wide Bay Burnett region.
