Address We are on a Cattle station midway between Tenant Creek and Katherine. We are seeking a Housekeeper/Cook to start early April 2024.
Single female airconditioned accommodation is provided and shared Wi-Fi is available.
We need a cheerful, houseproud individual with a genuine interest in being part of a team, cooking, cleaning, and watering lawn. MUST like eating BEEF.
You should also like horses, kelpies and poddy calves up close on the lawn.
You will be
25% - Cooking main meals for between 4 and 8 people on most days; at least one day off (leftover day), nothing fancy no baking unless you love it.
40% Housekeeping & cleaning
20% Watering lawns (shifting sprinklers), keeping lawns free of debris
5% Picking up stores and station supplies from town
5% Occasional assistance with cattle work or water runs or in the shed
5 % Feeding animals (or cleaning up after them)
Skills & Experience:
Basic cooking skills
Drivers Licence (Manual preferred)
Ability to cope with central Australia climate and isolation
Comfortable with own company as well as in a busy family environment
Respectful of people, animals, and equipment
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Trustworthy, honest, and ownership of errors/mistakes/property damage.
Clean and sober habits
Be a self-starter, self-motivated and work efficiently
Communicate effectively on all matters with owner, employees, and contractors.
Be able to follow written instructions.
