About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor is dedicated to exceeding expectations of both internal and external guests to ensure the highest level of service is consistently provided. Teamwork is the key to success in providing a warm and personal experience. Your focus will be to provide service to in a timely and sophisticated fashion.
In principle, the function will be threefold, overseeing the preparing resort rooms and public areas throughout the day InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, being responsible for the smooth execution of arrivals and departures within the resort and offering continued support to the room attendants with in the greater housekeeping team.
Your day-to-day
Create and inspire your team to deliver genuine and personalised experiences and service to our guests
- Ensure the quality of housekeeping and laundry services is always superb - we have standards - but it’s down to you to make rooms special and memorable for guests and staff
- Schedule routine daily inspections of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, rooms, equipment, linens, public restrooms, lobby, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction and in line with the IHG
Way of Clean
- Maintain and order supplies and equipment whilst minimising waste and maintaining “green” initiatives (example: container recycling, and cleaning agents)
- Reunite items with owners - and log any lost and found property
About You
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations. Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role and be able to provide a high-level of service excellence to InterContinental Hayman Island Resort’s valued guests. Must be able to start by 4 March 2024 and have the ability to live and work on Hayman Island, Queensland along with appropriate working rights.
What we offer
Hourly rate of $28.89 on a permanent full time contract (Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement 2023) with a minimum of 38 hours per week, must hold appropriate Australian working rights
