The opportunity
People Branch works to enable PM&C to have a workforce with diverse skills and life experience, to deliver outcomes for the Australian Government and people. Key to this is fostering a safe, inclusive and high performing culture and a contemporary employment framework.
We deliver human resource (HR) services, advice and strategies underpinned by a modern and flexible employment framework. People Branch offers a flexible and dynamic working environment, where we collaborate across teams to deliver outcomes and grow our skills.
We're looking to fill a number of vacancies within People Branch in the following teams:
  • Entry Level Programs
  • SES Unit & Recruitment
  • Workforce Capability
  • Employment Relations
  • Inclusion & Diversity
This recruitment round may be used to fill any upcoming vacancies across the Branch.
A merit pool may be established and used to fill the same or similar vacancies for 18 months from the date of advertising.
The key duties of the position include
Our ideal candidate
We are seeking motivated people who are outcomes focused with an interest in, knowledge of, and experience in HR, project/program management or policy. They have the ability to understand and interpret HR-related issues, legislation and Australian Public Service (APS) employment frameworks.
Our ideal candidates will have:
  • sound judgement, strong attention to detail and the flexibility to deal with competing priorities
  • strong verbal and written communication skills, which will allow you to provide a high level of customer service and engage effectively with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and levels of seniority
  • well-developed organisational abilities
  • a people centric approach to their work, by tailoring advice and solutions to our client's needs
  • the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and self-directed

PM&C supports mutually beneficial flexible work arrangements which suit operational requirements and uses space, technology and a mix of digital tools to equip you to work flexibly, where you can. Whilst consideration is given to all flexible work requests, it is anticipated that this role may require some office presence, balanced with working flexibly from home.
