We have a varied and rewarding opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team on-site in a part-time capacity.
The role reports through to the Group People and Culture Manager who will provide you with the support necessary to thrive in this role.
These are the key areas which will keep you busy and engaged:
- Regular recruitment of a variety of roles across all sites.
- Oversight of on boarding/ off boarding through the HRIS across the business
- Be the first point of contact to ensure that grievances, complaints and ER matters are handled promptly and sensitively and provide timely and appropriate advice and support to people leaders
- Keep abreast of legislative changes and undertake activities, such as regular BOOT tests to ensure compliance with Modern Awards
- Advise and support managers, supervisors and employees with HR queries, including performance concerns, disciplinary cases, grievances, and legislative requirements
- Support the performance management system ensuring that appropriate plans are in place for managing succession, retention, talent and career development.
- Be a role model for a culture among staff that is open to change and supports continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with management to identify, develop and implement key organisational structure, culture, engagement and change initiatives and strategies.
- Manage workers compensation claims and return to work processes.(be the RTW Coordinator)
- Complete understanding of Payroll process
Qualifications
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Recruitment experience
- Working knowledge of payroll processes – ideally within an HRIS
- Experience within Manufacturing an advantage
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience in the management of a broad range of ER matters
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Training delivery experience
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team
- Experience with Employment Hero would be an advantage
- Computer literacy with experience in MS Office
- Experience with Work Cover claims management and rehabilitation management
