About the role
Our HR Consultants work across a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries, delivering an even broader range of HR activities. While no two days are the same, here is what a week for you might look like:
- Monday – checking in with the team, having internal project and 1:1 meetings to brainstorm and hit the ground running for the week. Then talking a client through an Award question and calculating relevant Award pay rates.
- Tuesday – you’re onsite at a client’s office, talking them through ideas to update their onboarding process, giving them some recruitment tips and coaching a manager on a performance issue.
- Wednesday - teaming up with another HR Consultant to deliver virtual communication training for a client, and then reviewing and writing and policies for another client.
- Thursday – you’re #wfh diving into engagement survey results, putting the data into a digestible report for a senior leadership team, and coaching another client on a HR issue they are concerned about.
- Friday – in the office with the whole team, delivering projects for clients, and then reflecting, wrapping up and setting yourself up for the week ahead (with a beer or wine in hand, if you’d prefer!).
About you
Every member of our team brings a unique mix of experience, skills and interests. We can't wait to see what you will add, but would love for you to have:
- 3+ years of experience as a HR Advisor or HR Consultant
- Confidence with your understanding and application of employment compliance frameworks (Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, etc)
- Generalist experience across a range of people and culture functions
- Exposure to a range of industries and sizes of business
- Happy without structure, because you are proactive, self-motivated and organised in your approach to your work
- An empathetic, curious and positive approach to problem solving
- Preference for collaboration, with the ability to work autonomously when required
- Experience in management/consulting/coaching would be advantageous
We work from our dedicated office at Mobo Co in South Brisbane as much as possible (because we like bouncing off each other's energy IRL, when we aren’t at client offices) however this role would also suit someone who is looking for occasional work from home days too.
