As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge. You will be focusing on delivering high-quality Vocational Educational and Training (VET) for the Building and Construction Industry.
About the Role.
As the Learning and Development Coordinator for (internal and external mentoring programs) you will be responsible for the delivery of but not limited to.
- Identify training needs.
- Evaluate Training program effectiveness.
- Produce Training Material.
- Develop, design, and implement Training Programs.
- Create and facilitate in-house training workshops.
- Develop a Continuous Improvement program for Trainers and Assessors.
- Facilitate leadership development.
- Human Resource activities including but not limited to.
- Organise the hiring of new facilitators.
- Develop effective induction programs.
- Evaluate Trainer Performance.
- Provide feedback to Trainers and Assessors and, if required, implement mentoring programs to ensure standards are met.
- Develop and maintain training manuals.
- Responsible for the internal education and mentoring program of trainers with an emphasis on new trainers.
- Create and manage trainer files.
- Manage the Training and Assessment Department Budget.
- Update and finalise training timetables as required.
- Responsible for the coordination, facilitation, and management of trainers, their obligations, responsibilities, and requirements.
- Adjust trainer absentee with other trainers.
- Develop Training Plans.
- Take minutes of meetings and follow up on any required action items.
- Organise Zoom links for distance learning classes and manage the saved recordings.
- Knowledge of relevant training and regulatory frameworks (ASQA and Skills First Program).
- Understanding of compliance to ensure that regular audits are undertaken of training sessions.
- Following up on trainers to ensure they submit their required professional upskilling and industry currency evidence.

- Building and Construction knowledge and experience.
- Qualifications in the Building sector.
- TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development (or equivalent) or higher is preferred.
- 5 or more years of extensive experience as a Trainer and Assessor across Certificate III to Diploma level qualifications or higher. (preferred and is advantageous).
- Training and assessment experience and qualifications are mainly in the Building and Construction Industry. (preferred and is advantageous).
- Well-developed Course and Assessment writing skills. (preferred and is advantageous).
- Proficient at undertaking mapping and course development. (preferred and is advantageous).
