HR & Safety AdministratorJob Summary:We are seeking a dynamic go getter who can immerse themselves into the business and be part of the future growth. The successful candidate will support the People & Safety functions. Main occupational areas include trade sales, retail/showrooms, logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, and management. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and an understanding of HR and Work Health & Safety.
This Position (dual reporting line)People & Culture
- Provide administrative support using HRIS, Employment Hero - generate employment contracts, HR employee documents and administer staff transfers
- Coordinate Recruitment Process – advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, medicals, conduct reference checks, employee onboarding/inductions
- Assist with bi-annual performance reviews
- Create and assign training courses on LMS
- Track employee completion of policies and compliance training
- Identify improvement opportunities across all facets of the employee lifecycleWork Health & Safety
- Be an advocate for Health & Safety, educate and promote ‘Safety
First’ initiatives in the workplace
- Advise and educate staff on Burdens safety policies and procedures - identify potential hazards or non-compliance issues
- Uphold WH&S standards in accordance with health and safety legislation (WorkSafe Victoria)
- Assist in further developing safety training materials and conduct employee training sessions as needed.
- Update SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
- Carry out periodic WHS inspections/audits ensuring any corrective actions are issued and followed up in a timely manner
