About the opportunity
The HR Services Team is seeking a proactive and attentive HR Services Officer to deliver a full-suite of administrative functions and support related to the processing of HR documentation across the university. In this role, you will utilise your analytical and processing skills, and attention to detail to resolve complex HR requests from across the University.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- review and execute HR transactions relating to employee life cycle or employment job changes (e.g. hires, separations, internal transfers)
- provide high quality, consistent HR guidance, support and resolution to managers and employees with a focus on employee-centric service, and adhering to the relevant metrics, benchmarks and SLAs
- identify client-impacting issues and implement solutions and process improvements to increase client satisfaction
- review, prepare and issue employee documentation, e.g. employment agreements, contract variations
- provide advice and interpretation to staff members and leaders on the application of the University's policies, procedures and frameworks
About you
- experience in delivering transactional services with an ability to create a positive client experience in a large and complex organisation
- experience working in a high-volume environment with multiple competing deadlines and adhering to relevant SLAs
- Ability to change plans, priorities and being able to take a flexible approach to work situations.
- capability in preparation of employment agreement and contract variations, and more complex contractual arrangement for multiple roles/positions
- deep knowledge of the University's HR policies and practices, Awards and Agreements to deliver compliant and proactive solutions for clients
- highly developed written and verbal communications skills as you will be responding to various client requests ad queries in a professional and supportive manner
- an agile and flexible approach that is able to pivot and contribute to overall team success
- Workday system experience preferred
